First-Ever Indoor Ice Cross Event in USA Lights Up Bloomington!

For the first time ever, Ice Cross raced indoors on American soil, and it was nothing short of electric. Held at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Illinois, this game-changing event marked a bold new era for the sport — one where speed, innovation, and community came crashing together on the ice.

With a packed house and a custom-built track designed for high-octane action, 30 athletes — from seasoned pros to rising local stars — lined up to race shoulder-to-shoulder through tight turns, explosive jumps, and unforgiving ice. The crowd? Loud. The energy? Off the charts.

But this event wasn’t just about competition. It was about legacy. A free youth clinic earlier in the day brought local kids face-to-face with Ice Cross legends like Tim Cimmer, Dylan Moriarity, Leevi Nakari, and Stefan Vajsabel. Together, they laid the foundation for the sport’s future — coaching the next generation with hands-on support and safety-focused instruction.

And the results? Spectacular!

Big Final Open Champion: Dylan Moriarity
U14 Champion & Future Star: Issac Haynes (also awarded a spot on the Ice Cross team)
Top Female Skater: Ainsley Carlson
Top 40+ Skater: Tim Cimmer
Team Relay Winners: Cimmer, Haynes, Wirtz, and Hart

With major support from Future Now Energy, The Hockey Lab, and a dedicated team of organizers led by Dave Hammond, the USA has officially entered the Ice Cross arena — and in a big way.

This wasn’t just a race. It was a statement.
Ice Cross is here. Indoors. In America. And just getting started.
Stay tuned — the future of the sport is now.
