How Competitions Are Structured
The Ice Cross race format is designed to create exciting and competitive racing. Athletes begin with qualifying runs, where they race individually to determine their starting positions.
After qualifying, racers compete in elimination heats. In each heat, multiple athletes race at the same time, and only the top finishers advance to the next round.
The competition continues until the final race, where the fastest athletes compete for the championship.
This format keeps races fast, intense, and unpredictable, making Ice Cross one of the most exciting winter sports.
